Malawi: Moyale set-up Fisd Cup Semis Clash with nomads after seeing Off Eagles

Northern Region giants Moyale Barracks defeated Sunday morning on the basis of Polongroep Blue Eagles 3-2 of Lilongwe a half-swinging clash against Mighty Be Forward Wanderers in the current FISD Challenge Cup.

Both teams equaled the power during the break, but the visitors grabbed the winner until late in the second half.

Moyale is now faced with Wanderers who on Saturday without hesitation slaughtered Chpiku Central Region Football League side Airbourne Ranger 6-0 to book their semi-final ticket.

This means that there is only one quarter-round fixture left and it is the defending champion Kamuzu Barracks and Silver Strikers who are part of a continental CAF Confederation Cup mission in Gabon.

The winner between the two plays against Nyasa Big Bullets, which defeated Chitipa United 5-0 on Friday.

FAM and the sponsors must announce the date of the last quarter-final match to complete the semi-final list.

The game is played immediately after the return of Silver from Gabon.

FISD Cup is sponsored by Foundation for Irrigation and Sustainable Development (FISD).

They are suppliers of high-quality solar parks, solar pumps and they also design and install water and irrigation systems that aim to be the first choice for water and irrigation services in Malawi.
