After the W9 news magazine, Criminal investigationsand the format What really happened?, C.Productions spreads on M6 a fiction of the unprecedented real on the family slaughter that took place seven years ago in Nantes.
"The story as if you were there, in the suspect's mind," is the catch of the new M6 program that will be presented to the press on Monday afternoon. "Jean-Marie Goix, the producer, and Ioanut Teianu, the director, have come up with a style with this fiction of reality", says Frédéric de Vincelles, director of M6 programs & # 39; s. "We have been working on this project for a year and a half," added the head of C.Productions. "There is documented fiction whose theme is based on the true story of Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès.There are real stories. And there is a narrative bias, that of the defendant incarnated by Erico Salamone. This mix is the originality of the program. In this first issue, which is intended to be adapted to other major criminal cases, the director has chosen to take a position in reconstructing the version of the story that seems the most acceptable to him. At the beginning of the film as at the end, this context and this bias is reminded that viewers leave no room for ambiguity. "The most important thing was to find the part of humanity of Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès and a sense of history," said Teianu. "It was important to start with a specific hypothesis."
Nevertheless, the film is based on concrete evidence and a chronology of facts established since the beginning of the judicial investigation in April 2011. Since his wife and four children were found dead and buried under the terrace of his house in Nantes, Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès is the main suspect and has been searched by the police for more than seven years. Has he committed suicide or is he on the run? Is he guilty of these five murders or the victim of a machine because some members of his family still want to believe? The film has been committed and provides an answer that remains in the field of fiction.
After being broadcast on M6 at prime time, Nathalie Renoux is standing next to the director, experts and relatives of the Dupont de Ligonnès family to discuss the matter.
