A year after the death of Maëlys, justice is not yet complete with following the course of the alleged killer. An extensive survey.
A year ago little Maëlys, eight years old, disappeared during a wedding in Pont-de-Beauvoisin (Isère). His alleged murderer, Nordahl Lelandais, is now involved in another criminal case and a sexual assault case.
Maëlys: a questioning for nothing
In this case sued for murder, Nordahl Lelandais confessed last February to give the girl in his car a deadly blow on the sidelines of a wedding in Pont de Beauvoisin (Isère) on the night of 26 to 27 August 2017. His last questioning goes back to July 3, 2018, in the presence of the lawyer of the parents of Maëlys, Fabien Rajon. But according to our information, the former soldier would have been particularly careful with his answers to the questions posed for almost one and a half hours, in an avoidance strategy, according to a source close to the record.. According to this same interlocutor, this agreement would ultimately have yielded nothing new. The autopsy of the body of Maëlys did not make it possible to determine the causes of death or that she had been the victim of sexual abuse.
Her little nephew: a confusing video
It was also during this interrogation, on 3 July, that Lelandais was served with his charges for assaulting a minor under the age of fifteen. In his mobile memory, the researchers found a confusing video showing an attack on one of his six-year-old cousins. A week before the disappearance of Maëlys played and quickly removed, the video takes about two minutes and seems to be included in the parental home Lelandais, in Domessin (Savoie). Defended by Caroline Remond, the parents of the girl do not want to speak publicly.
Arthur Noyer: parents want progress
Nordahl Lelandais recognized his involvement in the death of Arthur Noyer, a 24-year-old corporal who disappeared in Chambéry in April 2017 after a disco party. Lelandais would have tied him up and then fought with him deadly. The young man will finally be buried in Bourges, where he will be born on September 7. In an interview given this week to the Republican Berry, Arthur Noyer's parents announced that they would spend "warrior mode" after the funeral. In other words, they want to ensure that all elements of the investigation have been exploited, especially since the suspect has not been heard in the context of this judicial investigation since his confession last April. One of the levers available to them is Article 120 of the Code of Criminal Procedure which allows a lawyer of the civil party to attend the interrogation of the accused and to ask questions himself. The nut pair is defended by the lawyer of Grenoble, Bernard Boulloud.
Twenty years of searching
Once the link between the disappearance of Maëlys and that of Arthur Noyer, last December, several families from the Rhône-Alpes region had mobilized to find out if Lelandais could be the cause of the disappearance of their nears. In January 2018 the gendarmerie set up an "Ariane" cell to determine the path of the alleged killer to determine his possible involvement with other crimes. The gendarmes initially focused on the widest by examining 900 cases of disappearances, unidentified bodies or unresolved murders in some twenty departments around Savoy during the last twenty years. This summer "there has not been a spectacular breakthrough," says a legal source for L & # 39; Express, but many of the 900 cases have been eliminated.
