Hamburg | Defusing the bomb from World War II in Hamburg-Wandsbek has been delayed. According to the fire department on Wednesday evening, the evacuation of the restricted zone is still underway. The nearly 500 kilos American air bomb with two detonators was discovered during the construction in the afternoon.

An emergency shelter in the Matthias-Claudius Gymnasium was established for affected residents.
