Long-distance hiking in the Zillertal
Two German mountaineers collapsed fatally
In Austria, mountain helpers looked for a chopped-down hiker – and only saved his body. Not far away they found surprisingly a second dead.
In a search for a German mountaineer in the Zillertal, Austrian troops accidentally found another deadly man from Germany. It concerns himself with the dead around a 57-year-old theologian from Baden-Wuerttemberg, the police communicated.
The man was on the long-distance road from Munich in the direction of Verona and probably crashed last Tuesday. How it happened until the accident is currently unclear.
The search was actually started because of a 57-year-old German. The family man from Herbstein in Hesse had slipped on a wet stone at 2400 meters when he crossed a stream and then crashed about a hundred meters through the rocky streambed. He could only be found dead.
The body of the theologian found the mountain workers about 50 meters below the dead man from Hesse. The man from Baden-Württemberg would also have crashed through the bedding bed.
