In the monuments the worst damage so far has been recorded in the municipality of Argithea after the strong earthquake of August 31 and according to the municipal authorities. These are extensive compensation payments to the monastery of the Assumption of Anthropos, to the parish churches of Karyas and Koumbourianas, to the holy monastery of Spilia, to Agia Paraskevi to Kamboureika Petrilou.
The following days, when the control over the other monuments of the area is extended, "we will see the total damage that these monuments have suffered," says Mayor Argetheus Lambros Tsivolas.
As far as houses are concerned, the day after the earthquake that the residents arrived and opened their houses, the great extent of the damage was found, which was not visible on the outside. Extensive cracks have been observed in walls, damaged households and fallen chimneys. In the coming days, residents will receive instructions on how to report damage to their home and their contents. At the same time, the appropriate forms will be handed out to supplement the test for the resilience of buildings, but this is also indicated by the municipal authorities.
Who, since Saturday morning, in collaboration with the Presidents of the Communities, has distributed water to residents who have been fed by sources whose water has been turbid and will continue to distribute until it is completely eliminated and health checks have been carried out.
Note, according to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, that after the 5-degree earthquake of the Richter scale and the micro-earthquake on the same day of the 4.1 magnitude on the Richter scale on Friday morning, 15 microtones were registered, of which the largest had a size of 3.3 on the Richter scale and it was yesterday at 11:21 in the morning.
