Due to a corona virus case, the match between the Netherlands and Serbia was postponed in Group C due to Hungarian interest in the European Women’s Handball Championship in Denmark.
According to a report on the tournament website, the Serbian national team arrived on Thursday in Kolding, the home of Group C, and one of the players has tested positive for the corona virus. The affected person was immediately quarantined, and although the others tested negative, they were also isolated, MTI writes.
Due to the incident, the Dutch-Serbian game, which is on Friday at 8.30 PM, will be played on Saturday from 8.30 PM and the members of the Serbian delegation will also be checked on Friday and Saturday.
The Hungarian national team will play against Croatia in the first round of the group round from 6.15 p.m. on Friday. The three best finishers in the groups advance to the semi-finals. The top four players in the tournament advance to the December World Cup in Spain, hosted by both the hosts and the defending Dutchman.
