Because of the low water level, a wreck of an American bomber from the Second World War was found in the Danube in Tököl. Because of the low water level in the river, an airplane exploded from the riverbed to reveal the sensational find – the RTL News reported.
The aircraft turned out to be defeated by Hungarian air defense on July 30, 1944, when the US Air Force 485 bombing group attacked the Danube aircraft factory. The B-24G aircraft of Lieutenant Frank Wodzinski was hit by air defense over the target. The bomber began to fall vertically and then hit the Danube.
The special wreck will soon be exhibited in Szolnok, so that everyone can see it.
