The nutritional status of the adult population will be re-evaluated, in a national survey between early September and mid-December, thousands of adults looking for more than 149 settlements will be interviewed by questioners – MTI.

The National Institute for Pharmacy and Nutrition (OGYÉI) on Monday MTIAn analysis based on nationally representative data will provide a real picture of factors such as obesity, eating habits, nutritional and health determinants. The survey also offers the possibility to make available other information that is necessary for drawing up plans for public health for professionals.

As it is written, the research is indispensable for the development of certain public health programs and will provide a realistic picture of the nutritional and nutritional status of the population.

So far, a comparable survey conducted in Hungary in 2009 and 2014 compares the results of the same methodological study, allowing time changes to be detected. However, the current one also contains a module that, more than before, provides a well-prepared preparation for public health measures, on the one hand knowledge of the effects of medicines, the consumption of dietary supplements and smoking habits.

People interviewed by OGYÉI on behalf of the company ask the residents to fill in a questionnaire on the above topics. At the same time they pass on a so-called diary: they ask the people involved to record what they have eaten for three days. A dietitian then appears to the person involved in the study, who is used to intercept the food diary data and also to perform body weight and height measurements.

The survey is carried out by OGYÉI from the resources of the Human Resource Development Operational Program (EFOP), the company in charge of the research has already informed the company and constantly informs the stakeholders.

Participation is not compulsory, everyone can decide to participate in the research.

The letter from OGYÉI informed the notaries, mayors and authorities of the designated settlements for the purpose of the survey.

It was also claimed that the collected data are handled by the authority in strict accordance with the applicable data protection legislation, without the need for name and address, and use this data only for scientific research purposes, which will be published later on aggregated data.
