The company told the world economy to find out. From this quantity, according to market knowledge, approximately forty new new solo and articulated vehicles can be purchased.

The BKV intends to regularly set up new vehicles, with the latest releases from the streets of the capital, for example in the autumn. The Van Hool-type products come from Switzerland and deliver a total of 12 twins 14-year-old articulated buses each year before the start of next year. This tender is not necessarily good news for the bus company of the transport company. The average age of the 998 bus fleet is 13.4 years, which means that the Van Hools do not mean a significant improvement in rejuvenation. The oldest active bus is a 32-year-old Ikarus 280 and the youngest is a Modul M168d for just under three months.

The BKV has indicated that new procedures for the purchase of new and new articulated buses are being prepared and that the renewal of the midi and mini-engine fleets is expected in the near future.

In the meantime, the company is trying to modernize and now the Life Cycle Repair Correction Program is for Volvo's articulated buses. As a result, more than 30 vehicles were upgraded in 2017 and nine more were completed in July. The BKV emphasized that the second-hand buses still have to be upgraded before they are put on the market.

It is also good news for the Budapest traveler that 78 percent of the company's nearly 1,000 buses (up to 780 units) are air-conditioned, so eight out of ten buses have a cooling system. Better still, access for the disabled: 824 buses – about 83 percent of the entire fleet – are also equipped with a ramp. In the field of electric vehicles, however, only one of the 19 powered buses is available for the BKV.
