Yes, dear minister! Dear sisters! Dear Mr. Director, Dear members of the staff, teachers of schools, dear students and parents! I welcome those who are remotely involved in our celebration.

In the Roman empire, of which we inherited our culture, the Latin alphabet itself, the cities have an advanced educational system, the teachers have done their work as private entrepreneurs, but there was public support for education. During the migration of the population, however, the traditional system of education, in Pannonia and later in the collapse of the Western Roman Empire, collapsed in Italy and Gallia. The Scriptures and the most important basic knowledge were taught in the court of rulers, especially in monasteries and schools of bishops. The church itself has founded schools, not only in the diocese, but also in the parishes. The Jews instructed the priests to teach the youth. This did not last much, however, until Charles Charles V ordered it[[[[Capitula examinationis generalis C.12.]so that everyone sends his son to study a book. The Emperor appreciated the education enormously, because he himself learned to read, but he did not know how to write. The church itself has obliged the priests to keep schools in the villages, to receive the children of the faithful and to teach them with great love.[[[[Theodulphus aurelianensis, Chapter I, c.20.]. These parish schools in the West have defined the entire education system. For centuries, the states themselves were considered the task of the church. The church did not try to do all this, because it was very difficult to meet such expectations in the age of migration, especially in a village.

2. Remember that in Hungary even St. László has forbidden a village to leave its place and go somewhere else, dismantle its church and take it with it. It was difficult to learn and demanded many sacrifices, but it was not always the norm. In 1279, the papal peoples of the Philippines had to forbid religious people to wear foxes or lizards at the Buddha's synagogue, just as golden and silver maidens wore their outerwear, wearing a ring that was not the office ring, were baptized they had to turn them off[[[[Buda's advice 1279, 2-4. canon]. However, the art of reading and reading seems to leave something to be desired. They had to be commanded to have the parishioners a handbook containing the texts of baptism, the last grunts and other rituals and a book from which the gospel can be prayed [Uo. 42. kánon]. If you think about the circumstances, we can say today: it was nice to win here.

3. And indeed, by the end of the Middle Ages, urban schools were founded and education in Esztergom, especially in the collegiate school, was strengthened. This was followed by the Turkish domination, which resulted in the liberation of the Turkish liberation in 1683, when the Polish king János Sobieski liberated the city. About 11,000 people left and stayed only 200-300, and they were mostly Eastern Christians, Armenians, Georgians, Serbs. The newly infected population then went slowly enough to create schools. At the moment there was a big role for monks who founded schools in cities. The II. After the Second World War, the nationalization of schools took place. Esztergom, however, could keep a Catholic school. The Franciscans could continue to work. After 1990, church education was born again, reinforced by international experience, in a modern way. In this way, the Szatmári Nativity Sisters also started this school, which today offers high-quality training for young people from kindergarten to adulthood. It has also become clear in the past few years secular and ecclesiastical schools are not opponents, but not even competitors of each other, but complement each other. It is their job to work with young people.

That this work is recognized today by the state and society is an important encouragement for all of us.

We are at a church school: at the beginning of the school year we ask the help of the Holy Spirit. It gives light and strength to work, to learn and to build up lively communities.

The government continuously improves the material conditions of education and spends more than 190 billion forint this year in the academic year. However, the content of education is determined by the teachers – said Minister of Human Resources in Esztergom.

"We expect the nation to rise again from the National Core Curriculum, and the best executors have made professional suggestions, and with our comments, suggestions, expectations and moral support, we are all creative partners," said Miklós Kásler.

The minister stated that the government was meant to represent the interests of the entire Hungarian nation, to survive, to increase the welfare of the people and to ensure the conditions for its spiritual flourishing.

"It has the potential to free our intellectual energies, but its quality is not dependent on the government, but on our growing families, our dedicated educators and our hopeful youth," said Miklós Kásler. The minister reminded us that after the search for the last decades we have achieved our political independence since 2010, and our economic growth since 2014. Our national sovereignty expects us to keep our traditions and culture in proportion to our development and ensure the further development and flowering, "he said.

"It is up to us that an emerging nation resumes its traditional mission, the peaceful coexistence and development of the people of the Carpathian Basin," said Miklós Kásler.

The IX. At the end of the National Teachers Day, Cardinal Péter Erdő blessed the new dining room of the Árpád-home St. Erzsébet Grammar School. The Order, whose main field of activity was nursing, poor care and education, bought the schoolyard in the 1920s, and the institution was transferred in 1930.

In the nationalization of 1948 the sisters had to leave the school and the palace. After the change of regime, the order was reorganized and sent back to Esztergom.
