There may be more than fifty different differences between the Hungarian graves, depending on the location of the funeral, the price of repayment of tombs and umbrellas is between 11,000 and 600,000 forint – according to a national survey commissioned by CIG Pannónia Life Insurance Plc.
The highest price for the grave is paid in the capital, funeral articles – urns and coffins – are never the most expensive in Budapest. The cost of the cheapest chest is 14,000 forint – in Vas County – with the most expensive urn, in Budapest 6,000 forint, but for the cheapest chest it has to be multiplied by 85,000 forints.
The cheapest of 4600 forints in the province of Vas and the most expensive 170 thousand urn available in the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg region is 37 times the price difference and the average price of cheaper urns is 9 thousand nationwide.
In Budapest the ceiling of the box can be 350-380 thousand forints, in the county of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén 390 thousand forints. Almost everywhere you can buy a box for 100 thousand forints or less, only the Győr-Moson-Sopron region is an exception, with 140,000 forints a simple box.
The insurer notes that more and more people, especially the elderly, are making good savings at the funeral, with more and more people taking out a special, so-called paternity insurance.
