HDFC AMC: HDFC AMC The net profit of April-June increases by 25% to ₹ 205.2 cr

Mumbai: HDFC AMC, which listed its shares on the stock exchange earlier this month, saw its profit after taxes (PAT) rise 25% to ₹ 205.2 crore for the quarter ending June 2018, compared with ₹ 164.6 crore in the same period last year. Total revenue for the quarter was ₹ 100.1 crore compared to ₹ 417 crore in June 2017, an increase of 20%.

The operating profit margin, which is the operating profit as the basis for the average AUM, improved to 35 basis points compared to 32 basis points in June 2017. Total assets under management (AUM) increased by 22% to ₹ 3.01 lakh crore from ₹ 2 , 48 lakh crore.

With a market share of 13.1% of the total quarterly AUM for investment funds, the company remains the second largest in terms of total AUM. The ratio of the more profitable equity-oriented assets and non-equity-oriented assets is 50:50 compared to the sector ratio of 42:58.

SIPs that remain a strong pillar of growth for the sector saw the company conduct 3.36 million systematic transactions with a value of ₹ 1,160 crore in June 2018.

The fund house saw 62.4% of its total monthly average AUM coming from individuals, compared with 52% for the industry.
