Mahindra has dropped several hints about what to expect from the brand new design of the MPV to keep interest and enthusiasm high. We have seen a glimpse of the front grille, the tail light, the shark fin antenna and a bit of a cabin, and the latest teaser is the headlight. Mahindra says that the design of the Marazzo was inspired by a shark and was done by Mahindra design studio and Pininfarina together. The company also emphasizes that the Marazzo will focus on comfort and space.

Mahindra Marazzo carries the latest design philosophy of the company, which will eventually be extended to other Mahindra products. The Marazzo has not yet been fully revealed, but there are some design elements that we have seen so far of the spy images and teasers.

This is the second major launch by Mahindra this year, the first is Mahindra XUV500 facelift. Mahindra, known internally as U321, recently announced the official name for his latest MPV as Marazzo. After the launch Mahindra Marazzo starts the battle with Toyota Innova Crysta.

Mahindra Marazzo MPV will be offered with two seats – seven and eight, with the seven-seater with captains in the middle row. Top variants also receive sun protection on all windows, which is a segment first property.

Higher end variants of Mahindra Marazzo will come with a touchscreen infotainment system that supports navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connections.

Mahindra will initially only offer the Marazzo with a 1.5-liter diesel engine. From confirmation of Rajan Wadhera, President, Automotive business, Mahindra & Mahindra, a petrol variant will be introduced later in the year.

Mahindra Marazzo is likely to be sold through the new premium network of Mahindra dealerships, which will be part of a number of existing showrooms. The new Mahindra dealers will be named Mahindra World or SUVs.

The all-new Marazzo is expected to be a premium offer, but will likely carry an aggressive price tag to compete, such as Toyota Innova Crysta and Tata Hexa. The prices may overlap with Mahindra XUV500 variants and are expected between Rs 10.90 – 14 lakh (ex showroom).
