Telecom operators announced free calls and data services, extended bill payments and other seven-day relief for users in the flooded state of Kerala.
While Reliance Jio and state BSNL offer free calls to all users, established operators Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular offer calls to a limited amount of subscriber credit for seven days and extended billing dates for subsequent users.
All five telecom operators offer free data service to customers. However, private operators limited free data to 1 gigabyte for seven days.
