Mahendra Singh Dhoni is considered one of the smartest brains of today's cricket, but at the end of the day he is also a human and the experienced stumper sometimes goes wrong with his tips, said India wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav.
Kuldeep was joking when he was asked if, at any time in his career, he had questioned the former India World Cup-winning captain about his tips.
"There are many times that he (Dhoni) goes wrong, but then you can't tell him that," said Kuldeep here on the sidelines of the CEAT Cricket Rating Awards.
Kuldeep, however, said that Dhoni is someone who only expresses his views if he thinks it is necessary.
"Zyada benefits nahi karte woh (he doesn't speak much). He only speaks between overs when he thinks he needs to point something out," Kuldeep added.
Dhoni was the captain of the Indian team that won the ICC T20 World Cup 2007 and then led the side in 2011 to the ODI World Cup title.
Dhoni stopped testing cricket in 2014 and then received the leader of ODI and T20 in 2017. He now only plays as a player led by Virat Kohli for India. The 37-year-old has only retained his captain for the Indian Premier League franchise Chennai Super Kings.
