Microsoft announces new Windows 10 update and new Insider Preview Build

If there is One thing that companies like to do at big events is to announce something new. In this case, Microsoft has announced what the new Windows 10 update will be for the fall at IFA. At the same time a new Windows Insider Preview Build was announced with some new fixes / improvements for the current status of Windows 10.

For the latest Preview Build 17751 there are 15 different solutions, improvements and changes that ensure that Microsoft's latest operating system stays up-to-date. Of course, there are known problems with every new update, but Microsoft is already aware of it. Look below to see what the new changes are and known problems.

Changes, improvements and solutions

  • The watermark in the lower-right corner of the desktop is no longer present in this build. This does not mean that this is the last build, because we are not ready yet. We are just starting the phase of checking in the final code to prepare for the final version.
  • We have resolved the issue where logging out your user profile or shutting down your PC would cause the PC to do so bug check (GSOD).
  • We have resolved a recent issue where the color and background settings were not correctly applied after a system upgrade when the migration was completed in offline mode.
  • We solved an issue where, when installing a font for a single user (instead of installing as admin "for all users"), the installation failed with an unexpected error message that the file was not a valid font file.
  • We fixed an issue where explorer.exe crashed if you were in tablet mode and opened the task view in portrait mode.
  • We resolved an issue where you may unexpectedly receive an error message saying that no supported app was installed after you clicked on certain activities in the timeline even though a supported app was installed.
  • We solved a problem that resulted in the time it took to start settings that have noticeably increased in recent times.
  • We have resolved an issue where, if your PC switched from the battery to the plug while the Windows Update settings were open and you download an update, you can unexpectedly see that it immediately switches to & # 39; you're up-to-date & # 39; afterwards instead of continuing to display the download update.
  • We have resolved an issue where the "Captured" drop downbox was unexpectedly large in the filter dialog of the Event Viewer at high DPI.

  • Thanks everyone who has tried and shared feedback about the performance visualizations we've added to the game bar with Build 17692. We bring them offline for now to re-evaluate the best possible approach in the future and work on it to provide you with a great gaming experience on your PC.
  • We have updated the messages in Snipping Tool to better reflect the promise we have made here. You will also notice in the message that we are exploring about renaming our updated cutting experience – bringing together old and new. The app update with this change has not yet flown to Fast, but if you have feedback on the topic, we are open to hearing it.

Known problems

  • When you make the & # 39; Ease of access to text larger & # 39; you may see problems with text clipping or see that the text does not grow anywhere.
  • Narrator sometimes does not read in the Settings app when navigating with the tab and arrow keys. Try temporarily switching to Narrator Scan mode.
