Rainy season, increased DHF patients in Sleman – KRJOGJA



SLEMAN, KRJOGJA.com – The number of patients with dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in Sleman Regency starts to increase during the rainy season. Currently, the number of patients with dengue fever has reached 770 people from January to yesterday. With the Covid-19 pandemic situation, people are being asked to remain vigilant about dengue fever.

Dr. Joko Hastaryo MKes, head of the Sleman Health Service, said the number of patients with dengue fever had decreased in July and August 2020. This rainy season, however, the number of patients has increased again.

“Until yesterday, the number of people with dengue fever in Sleman Regency was about 767 people. Two people died. But both died earlier this year. Yes, two patients died. But it’s not during the rainy season but at the beginning of the year.” Joko explained in his office on Thursday (26/11/2020).
