"Alhamdulillah, when we welcomed the new Islamic year, we held a torchlight procession in which about 20,000 people participated," KH Fajar Laksana, the chairman of the Tarhib 1 Muharam commission, told reporters on the sidelines of the activity. Tens of thousands of residents came from representatives of seven sub-districts consisting of student emissaries, students, students, Islamic boarding schools, Islamic organizations, DKM mosques, TNI / Polri devices and civil society organizations.

According to Fajar, the lively reception of the Islamic New Year was livelier this time than before. This was marked by the fullness of the residents at the time of the release and the march on the streets until they ended up in the town hall of Sukabumi.

Fajar explained, this excitement shows that the level of public awareness in religion is increasing. In addition, it reflects faith and piety and the influence of Islam.
