Report from Medan / Satia Tribune Journalists
TRIBUN MEDAN.COM, MEDAN – North Sumatra now ranks first among other provinces in Indonesia. The income of this prize is not because of the performance, but because of the poor performance of the State Civil Devices (ASN).
This was stated by the Minister of the Interior (Minister of Home Affairs), Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan-RB), then Minister of State Administration for Civil Service (BKN).
In their statement, North Sumatra involved 298 ASNs in corruption cases.
Of the 298 ASNs, 33 people worked in the government of North Sumatra.
Governor of North Sumatra Edy Rahmayadi said he was unaware of the involvement of the ASN in corruption cases.
"I can not conclude, are they involved in corruption or not, where do you know they are involved in corruption?" he said.
He questioned the media team about the involvement of employees in corruption cases. He was not able to dismiss those involved in corruption cases.
"Where do you know, the most important thing is that the governor of North Sumatra can not fire because he is not sure that they are involved in corruption or not," said Edy Rahmayadi when visiting the flood victims, at Jalan Sari Rejo, Beringin Village, Medan, Tuesday (2018/09/18).
Meanwhile, Edy Rahmayadi said he had not been fired, and the Supreme Court had already sentenced him to.
