BNPB provides reconstruction funds for houses of earthquake victims



The government has allocated a fund for stimulating aid to damaged houses

Reconstruction is given priority for houses that have suffered serious damage.

"BNPB provides budget support, with priority being given to homes that were badly damaged at first because some 74 thousand homes were damaged," Sutopo said in a brief comment Republika.co.id, Wednesday (8/22).

The government, he continued, had allocated funds for incentives to damaged houses in the category of severely damaged Rp & # 39; s, 50 million, moderately damaged Rp. 25 million and slightly damaged Rp. 10 million. Later, the reconstruction of damaged houses will be carried out independently by the community, accompanied by facilitators.

In addition, the reconstruction was also supervised by students from the University of Mataram and UGM and assisted by the TNI. The community will also receive technical training assistance to build earthquake-resistant houses from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (KemenPU-Pera).

Sutopo said that until now the NTB 2018 Disaster Emergency Handling Command Post determined that the total number of damaged houses reached 73,843 units. "The head of BNPB Willem Rampangilei said that next week he would give financial support for the reconstruction of houses to 5000 families," Sutopo added.

Earlier, Vice President Jusuf Kalla said that the government is now focusing on the rehabilitation process after the earthquake in Lombok. JK focuses on the rehabilitation process of houses of people damaged by the earthquake in Lombok that is completed within six months. While the reconstruction of public facilities such as schools, hospitals and offices can be completed within a year.

According to JK, the government will reserve rehabilitation assistance for each house through the Ministry of Finance. For the amount of assistance adjusted to the condition of damage Rp 50 million for serious damage, Rp 25 million for moderate damage and Rp 10 million for minor damage.

But so far, the government has not been able to estimate the total total budget allocation for aid. That is because the verification of damaged houses is still going on until now.
