Haedar Nashir: Make Eid al-Adha the Spirit of the Spirit of the Community

General President of PP Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir Ied prayer on the page of Bank Indonesia.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Muhammadiyah provided a number of messages in the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1439H to the people of Indonesia. One of the most emphasized is to make Eid al-Adha a spiritual spirit.

"Thank God, we're doing all Muslims in the country today Eid al-Adha." Our first message, Eid al-Adha, has been made into a spiritual spirit, "said the general president of Muhammadiyah PP Haedar Nashir after the Eid prayer on the Bank Indonesia (BI) page, Jakarta, Wednesday (22/8).

Because, he thinks, spiritual spirit can always make every person close to Allah. As a result, we will always be people who do sincere goodness, with the exception of groups that avoid evil.

Haedar also believed that the spiritual soul could become the largest fortress for the Indonesian people. The fort ensures that everyone avoids acts that harm others.

"There will be no corruption, even if there are many opportunities, it will not be arbitrary, even if there are many opportunities, and it is also important to do well," he said.

Second, Haedar emphasizes that the tradition of sacrifice must be a culture of sharing with the needy. At the same time, it is a spirit to learn to sacrifice for the benefit of the nation and the state.

He pointed out how politics and economy give people the power to prosecute themselves without measure or skill. This means that the struggle for excessive positions even neglects the interests of the people.

"If Pak President (Joko Widodo) always says that one percent manages the most wealth, one percent should learn to sacrifice for the nation and the state, so there's a chance to make the most profit for the benefit of the people," Haedar.

Third, he reminded that ethics is required in every life in the world, social, political, economic, state and society. So the value of good, bad, right, inappropriate, inappropriate is born from within, not because of rules. Because according to him the rule is a matter of law or system.

Yet he believes that the Indonesian nation has a good religious life in society. There must, however, be a great sense of making it a collective culture to always nourish the spirit of sacrifice, give priority to the public interest and not exaggerate self-interest.

"Of course people are selfish, then class, and perhaps political orientation, reasonable, but there are limits where ethics invites what is right, what is wrong, what is good, what is bad, what is right, what is inappropriate" I think that it's time for a public civilization like this, "said Haedar.
