Passengers of livestock transport vessels Missing contact evacuated to Probolinggo

KUPANG, – Divine Revelation Motor Sailing Ship with hundreds of cows and goats from Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara to South Sulawesi was found after reportedly missing since Wednesday (29-08-2018).

Head of the Maumere I Putu Sudayana SAR office said it received information that one of the ship's passengers told his family they were safe.

"We had a SAR operation on the third day The SAR SAR officer at the Maumere SAR Office contacted the BPBD Jeneponto and received information that one of the victims of the divine revelation of the KLM had contacted on behalf of Ruslan with his family and said they were safe, "Sudayana said, Sunday (02/09/2018).

According to Sudayana the ship was on fire en route. Subsequently, the passengers of the ship were evacuated by 04 Prosperous Motorboats to Probolinggo, East Java.

"They are scheduled to arrive at Probolinggo Pier, at 17:00 WIB," he said.

This ship lost contact in the ocean during a trip from the port of Marapokot, Nagekeo Regency, NTT, to Bungeng Port, Jeneponto, Bungen Village, Batang District, Jenneponto, South Sulawesi.

The ship sailed from the port of Marapokot since Wednesday (29/8/2018) and is scheduled to arrive in Bungeng Port on Friday (31-08-2018).

"There are 20 people on board that consist of 17 adults and three children," said Sudayana.

In addition, the ship transported about 500 cows and goats.
