Promise of Jokowi & # 39; s economic growth criticized, This is the statement of Sri Mulyani

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said the government continues to work on different ways to increase economic growth every year.

This statement was conveyed to respond to criticism from the faction of the Gerindra party who had touched on President Joko Widodo's promise when the campaign in the form of 7 percent economic growth had not been achieved.

"In the APBN we will continue to see possible sources of economic growth and become a reference for calculating the 2019 state budget," Sri Mulyani said after attending the Faction General View Meeting on the 2019 RAPBN in the Parliament of the Republic of Indonesia, Tuesday (28-08-2018),

Sri Mulyani has ensured, the government will continue to see that demand and supply come from consumption, investment, exports and growth stemming from government spending or spending. From these different considerations, the government will submit figures showing the real conditions on the ground.

"We will use policy tools to improve our economic growth, create jobs and reduce poverty, which has now reached a good level of progress," Sri Mulyani said.

Earlier, a member of Gerindra who presented the general picture of his faction, Ramson Siagian, initially commented on the economic growth target in the Draft Budget 2019 at 5.3 per cent lower than in 2018 at 5.4 per cent.

"After 3 years (the board of Jokowi), economic growth was only 5.1 percent." During the campaign, Jokowi-JK promised economic growth of 7 percent, but until the last year the work cabinet was absolutely no promise during the campaign, "Ramson said before the meeting participants.

Ramson revealed, with the previous notion that far from campaigning was, Gerindra doubted whether the economic growth guideline of 5.3 percent for 2019 could be achieved.

Gerindra also encourages the government to remain consistent in carrying out what is planned in RAPBN 2019, although this coincides with the political year.

"Gerindra is still a question mark, whether the growth of 5.3 percent (in 2019) can or can not be realized." The last 2019 RAPBN of the Jokowi-JK government will observe the people and see how the policy will remain consistent in the 2019 RAPBN, "Ramson said.
