JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The inactive governor of Jambi Zumi Zola will be tried as a defendant at the Corruption Court of Jakarta, Thursday (23-08-2018). Zumi will hear the charges that will be read by the prosecutor of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
The Zumi trial will be led directly by the head of the district court in Jakarta, Yanto, accompanied by four members, namely Frangky Tambuwun, Syaifuddin Zuhri, Anwar and Titi Sansiwi.
Zumi was caught in two cases of alleged corruption.
Firstly, a case of alleged acceptance of tips on projects in the Public Works and Public Housing Agency (PUPR) of Jambi province, 2014-2017.
In addition, cases of alleged bribery were given to a number of DPRD members with regard to the approval of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea for the ratification of the Jambi regional budget (R-APBD) for the financial year 2017-2018.
The case of bribery against a number of DPRD members who arrested Zumi was the development of a handheld operation of KPK against a number of officials in Jambi last November.

The former soap artist is suspected of knowing and approving the awarding of bribes, ketok money, to a number of DPRD members.
The money is related to the adoption by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea of the ratification of the Jambi regional budget (R-APBD) for the financial year 2017-2018.
While in the case of receiving satisfaction projects in the Jambi Provincial PUPR office 2014-2017, the satisfaction that Zumi and the acting head of the Public Works and Housing Office (PUPR) of Jambi Arfan Province would have received, Rp. 6 billion.
On Monday (6/7), the KPK yesterday handed over the file and status of the inactive Jambi Governor Zumi Zola to the prosecution stage and immediately tried.
