The agent who mediated Emiliano Sala's $ 15 million transfer from Nantes, challenged Cardiff's bosses to a public Q & A in an attempt to prove that he did not do anything wrong, Sky Sports News has learned.

Willie McKay has confirmed to Sky News that he arranged and paid the flights related to the Sala deal before the death of the Argentinian striker.

Sala died when the light plane he was on crashed on January 21 in the English Channel. His body was restored on February 6. Pilot David Ibbotson remains missing.

McKay told it Sky Sports News he feels dejected by the media, and he and his family have been threatened with violence on social media since the tragedy.

He compared his share of the aircraft accident with booking a taxi. While ordering and paying the flights, he is adamant because he was not in possession of the aircraft or responsible for its safety.

He also claims that the Cardiff hierarchy knew everything about the flight bookings and was involved in all meetings where it was discussed.

Now McKay has challenged Cardiff owner Vincent Tan, manager Neil Warnock, chairman Mehmet Dalman, chief executive Ken Choo and Chris Knott, the club's attorney, to join him in a public meeting where all issues can be aired .
