Gardai was forced to break a party with over 50 people at night despite the entire country being under a second lockdown.
The shocking incident took place in Templar’s Hall, a popular student house in Co Waterford.
Officers on patrol saw the group around 1 a.m. this morning and dispersed the crowd.
The incident is now under investigation for violation of the government’s Covid-19 restrictions, and a file is being prepared for the Director of the Public Prosecution Service.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí was on patrol in the Templar Hall of Waterford when they observed a rally at a residence this morning, November 12, 2020, at approximately 1am.
“A large group of people were scattered from the scene by Gardaí.
“This incident is now being investigated for possible violation of Covid regulations and a file will be prepared for the Director of the Public Prosecution Service.”
