Gardai identifies the man who presented with gunshot wounds at the Connolly Hospital

GARDAI from Blanchardstown, in his thirties, identified a man from Northern Dublin who yesterday at around 7 o'clock in the Connolly hospital with a gunshot wound on his lower leg.

"I was shot," the man says before he has told the hospital before he was treated.

The 37-year-old from Blakestown arrived at the hospital with his older brother.

The man is known to gardai who are still trying to keep the chain of events together.

Officers have made contact with the victim.
