This year was nothing less than exciting for one of the leading drummers of North Wexford, Conor Moore.
Conor, who is a member of CCÉ Tuaisceart Loch Garman, took first place in the category Céilí drums from the 18th century on the Fleadh Cheoil after hÉireann 2018, which was held in Drogheda last weekend.
The 26-year-old musician also opened his studio Sound Out Rhythm Drumming School in Tara Hill in February. It is nothing less than a success with doubled student numbers since it opened.
"The company started in 2016, but I decided it was time for a property," Conor said. & # 39; When we first opened, I had 25 students. It has now grown to 85 and I hope that in the coming school year I will have 120 pupils per week. & # 39;
Conor was born and raised in the flourishing town of Gorey. During his musical career he has been involved in an incredible series of performances and performances on stage, including musicals, plays and pantomime.
He has had the privilege of appearing on world-renowned platforms such as the Olympia Theater in Dublin, X-Factor live shows, 3Arena in Dublin, Wembley Arena in London, Croke Park, Aviva Stadium, Bord Gáis Energy Theater and various locations in Boston and New York.
Conor has also acted with and supported world-famous acts such as Celtic Woman, Kelly Clarkson and many others.
He traveled for three years with Seo Linn, the group that took the internet by storm with their performance in the music videos of Coláiste Lurgan.
The school is closed for the month of August to have some well-earned free time, but Conor has ensured that they will be in full swing again in September.
