Donegal victims called crashing; Woman (20s) remains in critical condition

Update 9.25 hours: A woman in his twenties is still in a critical condition in the hospital after a crash in Donegal that claimed the lives of two others.

Six people were involved early yesterday morning in the collision with one car in Bundoran.

A man and a woman in their twenties have been killed and the post-mortems are being performed on their bodies today.

The victims are locally known as Shiva Devine and Conall McAleer, according to media reports.

A woman in her twenties has been transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin – while two men – also in their twenties – are treated at Sligo University Hospital.

A man in his twenties who was arrested by Garda and who investigated the crash has been released without charge – and a dossier has been drawn up for the DPP.

Post-mortems are performed today on the bodies of a man and a woman in his twenties, who died early in Bundoran yesterday morning from a tragic clash between a few cars.

Two men in their twenties, who were seriously injured in the crash, are still being treated at Sligo University Hospital, while a woman in her twenties is still seriously ill and has been transferred to the Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.

A man in his twenties arrested by Gardaí who investigated the crash was released without charge, while a dossier was prepared for the DPP.

Gardaí maintains contact with the PSNI as part of their investigations and continues to call for the submission of witnesses.
