Gardai is involved in a massive international hunt for smugglers who tried to import € 10 million of cocaine for the Kinaans.
Officers help in the search after an attempt is made to collect the shipment through an Irish port.
The supply of up to 133 kg was found on board a boat called the Polar Chile.
The discovery was made by Costa Rican narcotic police officers who found the cocaine hidden in a load of fruit while the ship was in the harbor.
The Polar Chile arrives Wednesday in the port of Cork.

A spokesperson for Garda said that the National Office for Drugs and Organized Crime is working on one
research with a "significant international dimension as a result of the seizure".
She added that the discovery was made at Moin Port in Limon, Costa Rica, last Tuesday by the drug control police of the Ministry of Public Security in Costa Rica.
The spokeswoman said: "The cocaine was discovered in a container on board a ship called Polar Chile.
"The seized cocaine has a potential value of € 10 million."
She added to Mr O & # 39; Driscoll the confirmed involvement of gardai and Customs and Revenue in an investigation into the role of criminals established in Ireland in the attempt to import the drug.
She said: "The assistant commissioner stated that international cooperation with law enforcement agencies on a global basis is essential in directing criminal activities by organized crime groups with an international dimension."
