Presidential hopeful plans to make their point of view known at the County Council meeting in Kilkenny

Six hopeful candidates for the presidential election will present their case to the County Council of Kilkenny at a specially convened meeting next week.

It will allow potential candidates for the upcoming presidential election to come and involve local council members. Fifteen minutes are assigned to each candidate, who is informed that this means that they have about eight minutes to present and seven minutes to answer questions.

The candidates are: Senator Joan Freeman, artist / activist Kevin Sharkey, businessman Gavin Duffy, James P Smyth and farmer John Groarke. An unnamed person represents the campaign William Delaney (1957-1970).

The meeting will take place in the Provinciezaal on Friday 31 August at 3.30 pm.
