Restrictive signage for whiskey distilleries with the brand A Bizarre Move & # 39;

A Clare whiskey producer has labeled new rules for restricting signage at distilleries at bus stops as a bizarre move.

A Public Health Alcohol Bill clause would mean that such signs are illegal near schools and, more specifically for tourist areas, stops of public transport.

Research by the Alcohol Beverage Federation of Ireland showed that the breweries and distilleries in the country alone attracted 2.5 million visitors last year.

Louise McGuane runs The Chapel Gate Irish Whiskey Company in Cooraclare and will open a visitor center there next year.

She has told the James Mulhall of Clare FM that it is disturbing for start-ups who depend on signage to lure tourists:
