A 20-year-old man appears before the court of Naas on Sunday morning at 9:30 am in connection with the death of David Boland (34).
Mr. Boland was stabbed outside of a clothing store on Athy's Duke Street on an early Thursday.
He was found with serious injuries on the sidewalk just before 6 am. He was transferred to the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise, but died from his injuries.
Another man, in his late twenties, was arrested and detained at Kildare Garda station as part of the investigation. He was released on Saturday night without charge and a file will be prepared for the director of prosecutors.
