For months there were rumors about a collaboration between Microsoft and Razer for accessories. Although many thought it was for controllers, we reported in September 2018 that it was an Xbox One mouse and keyboard. These rumors were confirmed on X018 when the publisher announced that Razer would produce "Designed for Xbox" mice and keyboards with exclusive features such as a decided "Xbox button" and "Xbox Dynamic Lighting."
Apart from a flashy trailer with a glimpse of the mouse and the keyboard, Razer gave no other details. We only knew that more information would be announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2019) next year. Although we still do not know how much this legendary mouse and keyboard will cost, we were able to view the device better on the Razer website.
You clearly see the Xbox button at the bottom right where the "Control" button should be. The Xbox Dynamic Lighting is also shown and seems to be based on Razer's "Chroma" technology that offers similar functions on the company's keyboards. All in all it is a beautiful device that even seems to contain mechanical keys. Hopefully it will not be too heavy and have a long battery life.
Many game developers have praised the support for the mouse and keyboard of the Xbox One. Epic Games explained how Fortnite will be one of the first titles to offer mouse and keyboard input alongside the previously announced Warframe. However, Bomber Crew, Deep Rock Galactic, Strange Brigade, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, War Thunder and X-Morph Defense will also add support in November. Developers working on Children of Morta, DayZ, Minion Master, Moonlighter, Vigor, Warface and Wargroove promised mouse and keyboard support in the future.
