Economic data is shown in the European session

It is PMI day in European trade

Hello everybody! I hope you are okay with us, because we get it done in the upcoming session. It was a lively start of the morning, with Australian politics collecting the most headlines, making the currency the weakest artist to date.

The upcoming session is a bit more busy, because we have a lot of PMI releases from Europe, so let's start:

0645 GMT – France Trust in business and industry

General measures of sentiment to the French economy. Small data points in the big picture of things.

0715 GMT – Switzerland Q2 industrial production data

Q1 figures can be found here. Not an important factor in one way or another, but one that contributes to the sentiment to the Swiss economy.

0715 GMT – France August provisional production, services, composite PMI

0730 GMT – Germany August provisional production, services, composite PMI

0800 GMT – Eurozone August provisional production, services, composite PMI

Preliminary figures can be found here and here. The expectation for August is that the composite lectures improve somewhat across the board. So let's see if there is good news to stimulate economic / investor sentiment to the economies of the eurozone. The releases are not expected to affect the euro properly, but it builds on the expectations / view in the longer term.

1000 GMT – British CBI August retail sales reported sales

The measurement results here are an indicator for short-term trends in the retail and wholesale sector of the British economy. Data at a low level.

1130 GMT – ECB publishes its account for the monetary policy meeting in July

The minutes are not expected to show something that we do not yet know and that will probably reinforce the same language that we saw last month from the ECB. A reasonable event, but stay alert, just in case. Here is a summary of the July decision of the ECB.
Apart from that, we will also get Bundesbank President Jens Weidmann speak at the Berlin Foreign Press Club 0730 GMT. He will also answer questions from the foreign media in the course of time. That is all for the coming session. I wish you the best of the coming days and as always good luck with your trade!
