Israeli forces to demolish the Palestinian home south of Bethlehem
BETHLEHEM, August 22, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces have issued an order for demolition on Wednesday for a Palestinian home in al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, a local activist said.
Hassan Breijah, Anti-Wall and Settlement Committee coordinator, said Israeli troops raided the city and ordered Sameeh Ahmad Salah to demolish his house, which covers an area of 120 square meters, under the pretext of a building without license.
The order gives Salah a seven-day period to leave the house, located in the southern part of the city, known as Khirbet & # 39; Alya, of furniture and all other possessions.
He pointed out that the planned demolition is related to an Israeli plan to build a single detour route that would serve as a northern entry to the Efrat settlement.
The planned demolition came when the Israeli authorities decided to confiscate 100 dunums (24.7 acres) of agricultural land from the village and expand again to expand the Efrat settlement.
The expansion of the settlement would be at the expense of Palestinian landowners and farmers at al-Khader and Artas villages in the southern Bethlehem district.
