Knesset members complained last weekend that they had received many phone calls that bothered them after a list of all their phone numbers was published on social media.

The list is compiled and distributed by Barak Cohen, who is a convict.

Opposition leader Tzipi Livni wrote on Twitter that the list had two telephone numbers for her, one of which is indeed hers, but the other of a private citizen.

"Sadly, the other woman is harassed during a difficult time for her family," Livni wrote on Twitter. "I ask not to bother us and for the distributor of the numbers to distribute my request."

Likud MK Sharren Haskel said she always answered or sent back every call she received, even from songs she did not recognize – but she will no longer do so because of the number of calls she has received since the list was published.

"Most of the calls I received so far were from citizens who were in a difficult situation and who were looking for those who could offer them urgent help," Haskel wrote on Twitter. "Now, some heroes were reducing the number of MKs everywhere and the amount of delusions, trolling calls was extremely high to the point of impossibility."

Haskel closed her tweet by adding sarcastically: "Thank you very much, acorns."

Zionist Union MK Ayelet Nahmias – Verbin wrote on Twitter that she too was harassed. She asked people to call if they really needed help and not to harm her.

But Likud MK Ears Hazan said he was happy that his phone number had been widely distributed.

"I want to start my week by thanking Barak Cohen for publishing my number", Hazan wrote on Twitter on Saturday night. "Thanks to him, it has once again been shown how much appreciation and love there is for me from the northern border to Eilat, and I got more information about supporters who come my way, thanks to everyone who has called to strengthen and support me and to share nice words. I'm here for you, so feel free to call. "
