BEIT RIMA, West Bank (AP) – Palestinian residents say a 24-year-old Palestinian man died after being arrested by Israeli forces.
Relatives say that secret soldiers invaded the space of Mohammed Remawi one day before sunrise.
His uncle, Bahaa Remawi, says that Mohammed seemed weak when he was taken away, and the family believes he was beaten.
The uncle says: "He is a healthy young man, he has had no health problems, the only logical explanation is that they have beaten him for one reason or another and have killed him."
The Israeli army says that Remawi was arrested without incident, but lost consciousness and was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead. There is an investigation to determine a cause of death.
