Sisters of Italy, Lucia Bosetti: "I lower myself into a world of highlights: volleyball changed my life" – Repubblica TV

The "sisters of Italy" are the blue athletes who have won medals and trophies in recent years, but also those who dream of doing so at the next Olympic Games. Faces and stories to discover little by little: two new interviews a week.

Lucia Bosetti was born in 1989 and is the crusher of the Italian women's volleyball team. The Savino Del Bene player, born of both volleyball players, reveals to Repubblica, although she is not a particularly tall girl ("in a world where the lowest 185 cm high"), how much this sport has changed her life: "Fin since I was small, I struggled to realize my dream: I followed my calling and I succeeded in many difficulties. "

Bosetti then relives the unforgettable moments that were experienced together with the companions of the 2018 world championship held in Japan: "We won the silver medal, although it was not the goal we had set ourselves, it was still a beautiful ride," said Bosetti. "We did not allow ourselves to be distracted by small arguments that could be in the dressing room because we were together for six months every day."

In addition to second place in Japan, Lucia Bosetti and teammates won the gold medal at the 2009 European Championships in Poland, at the 2011 World Cup in Japan and at the Grand Champions Cup, which was again played in the Asian country in 2009. On an individual level, he won, among other trophies, three Italian championships, a Turkish and a Champions League.
