(ANSA) – ANCONA, August 24 – On the A14 Bologna-Taranto, the route between Porto Sant'Elpidio and Grottammare in the direction of Pescara was closed for several hours after the incident last night in the & Grottammare & # 39; – tunnel in which a heavy vehicle caught fire, causing extensive damage to the tunnel itself. This was announced by Autostrade per l & # 39; Italia: "To make traffic possible, the traffic had to be passed on the opposite lane in both directions via a detour, but the simultaneity of the determination with increasing traffic volumes was" decisive for 14 Km. from the tail between Giulianova and Pedaso in the direction of Ancona and 4 km from the tail in the direction of Pescara. A situation that caused queues and delays throughout the day on the motorway between Marche and Abruzzo, especially in the north, but also on the Adriatic, where a large part of the traffic that is diverted by the A14 is poured.
