In a few moments about 13 cubic meters of rock falls on the beach: the landslide line is almost ten meters long. Coast Guard, carabinieri, civil protection and fire brigade flock to the site. An ambulance takes care of the three young people, in shock but in good condition. The beach is immediately closed: until this morning it was accessible without any restriction and therefore without any indication of danger. "In the area above the landslide area – remembers the mayor of Procida, Dino Ambrosino – the province had intervened years ago with works to make it safe, but the underlying part of the ridge was not taken into account.

It is necessary to re-read the various technical reports of that time to understand why that part has been assessed in safety. In Chiaia there were several landslides.
