work for safety barriers and signs

The program has started restoring safety barriers and traffic signs on the Magliana viaduct. In order to make the construction of the construction site possible, the narrowing of the left lane from the Via del Cappellaccio to the Magliana bridge towards Fiumicino was planned until 15 September.

As far as the Magliano Bridge is concerned, at the end of last year, Roma Capitale commissioned an engineering firm to carry out an analysis of the state of constructions, of which the technical-scientific manager, and the author of the research, is the engineer Franco Braga, Professor Sapienza University of Rome, who concluded by identifying a number of priority actions to be carried out after inspections carried out in February. In the spring of 2018, maintenance work has already been carried out on the sidewalks used for the cycle path track and on the internal inspection paths.

In the Annual Accounts 2018, 2 million has been allocated for the other extraordinary maintenance interventions that aim at the connections and supports of the bridge and which are in the operational planning phase. On April 24, the Department for Infrastructure Development and Urban Maintenance (SIMU) informed the prefecture about the work with a note of the prefecture and the fire department. Bridges and tunnels are currently maintained, both ordinary and extraordinary, with works on the Principe Amedeo Savoia d Aosta bridge, on the Ossa bridge and in the Giovanni XXIII gallery.

The Rome Capital bridges are periodically controlled by the government of Capitoline. For the three-year period 2018/2020, a total of more than EUR 90 million was allocated for the total road network for ordinary urban road maintenance works (bridges, roads, tunnels) and another EUR 10.3 million for surveillance services only. An additional 45 million was allocated for the extraordinary maintenance of the same infrastructures.

In particular, during the three-year period 2018/2020 funds will be available for the design and extraordinary maintenance work of the Flaminio bridge, for 10,300,000 euros for the Tangenziale Est, of 3,000,000 euros, and for the Risorgimento bridge, for 1,100. 000 euros. With the budget adjustment of last July, another 5 million euros were allocated, only for 2018, which are intended for the extraordinary maintenance of further road works of art.
