In the first half of this year, 1,094 billion cigarettes were exported from Latvia to other countries, which is 12.7% less than in the first half of 2017, according to the turnover indicators for excise goods collected by the tax authorities (SRS) .

In the first half of the year 28,88 million cigars and cigarillas were also exported, which is 0.1% less than in the first half of 2017.

Most of the exported tobacco products was sent to another Member State of the European Union: 1,022 billion cigarettes, 28.73 million cigars and cigarillos, as well as 5,138 kilograms of tobacco, 140 380 kilograms of tobacco leaf and 13,655 kilograms of heated tobacco.
