The total budget for the reconstruction and development of the creative space of TabaFab on Miera street 58a, launched by State Enterprise "State Real Estate" (VNP), is 5.058 million euros, said the member of the board of the VNIP and Kitja Gruškevica, chairman of the competition panel, at Tab Fab.
Of the total amount of EUR 4,233 million, the European Regional Development Fund, EUR 747,000 is financed by the Latvian state budget, but EUR 78,000 comes from Denmark.
Today VNP has announced the international competition for the best and most creative architectural vision for the creative quarter of TabFab. Applicants can submit their year before November 26, but before December 7 the jury will evaluate them. The winner will be named mid December.

The competition will be conducted with financial support from the Danish Cultural Institute and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark to Latvia, which will be presented as a gift in the 100th anniversary of the Latvian state. The members compete for both the best-in-title title and the total prize pool of € 50,000. The prize fund is provided by the Danish Cultural Institute and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Latvia.
The winner of the first prize will receive € 18,000 and, together with the other winners of the competition, will be invited to submit proposals for the negotiation procedure in order to obtain the right to conclude a contract for the development of a building project and the supervision of the author.
Second place will be 14 000 euros, third place – 10 000 euros and four promotional prices for every 2000 euros.
The works submitted to the competition will be judged by an international jury consisting of architects from Latvia and Denmark – Jānis Dripe, Agrita Maderniece, Gvido Princis, Aigars Kušķis, Gatis Didrihsons, Stins Enrico Andersen, Tanja Jordana, as well as the following residents of the Creative Quarter. , Latvian Academy of Culture, Agnese Hermane An expert and secretary-general of the Danish cultural institute, Michael Mets Merks, and the secretary-general of the jury, architect Dace Kalvane, will also be present at the jury.
