Open the door to accept a new batch of Diploma of Arabic Christian heritage



The Bibliotheca Alexandrina announced the acceptance of a new party of the Diploma of Arab Christian Heritage, organized by the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Abbasiya, and for the third year in a row accompanied by the Center for Coptic Studies in the Library.

According to a statement from today's library, he teaches in the diploma of a number of specialists in the field of Arab Christian heritage, including Bishop Makar, the Bishop of the East and the tenth of Ramadan, and Dr. Youssef Al-Houmi professor in the history of the Church, and Dr. Samir Khalil Jessoui pioneered the Arab Christian heritage at Saint Joseph University in Beirut.

And Dr. Sameh Farouk Hanin, professor of Byzantine literature at the Faculty of Arts, University of Cairo, and Dr. Wajih Michael, secretary general of the Center for Christian Studies in the Middle East, Faculty of Arts, University of Cairo. Evangelical Theology, and Dr. Louay Mahmoud Said, director of the Center for Coptic Studies at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

The diploma covers various topics, including Arabic Christian heritage, Coptic heritage, early Christian-Christian dialogue, Arabic Christian poets, Arabic translations of the Bible and other topics.

This diploma is the first of its kind in the history of higher studies in Egypt, and it focuses on highlighting the types of heritage produced by Christians in Egypt and the Arab world, especially after the Islamic conquest and the relationship between Christians and Muslims .

The diploma lasts two semesters, a weekly meeting on Friday and Saturday at 2:00 pm at the evangelical theological seminar in the Al-Sekka Al-Bayda street in Abbasiya, Cairo.

It is worth mentioning that the study will start at the end of September and the introduction will be accessible to interested students and researchers from various universities and institutes.
