PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan's (PH) candidate for the abridged seat of the state seat Seri Setia, Halimey Abu Bakar, is considering setting up a community advisory center in the cheap residential area to address socio-economic problems there.

"People who live in the People & # 39; s Housing Project (PPR) are constantly faced with challenges, since most have low incomes.
"In addition to being exposed to economic problems such as job loss, debt and rising cost of living, they are also faced with social and criminal problems, including divorce, so counselors are appointed at these centers to help them address these problems. suits, "he said. told reporters after a visit to the Lembah Subang PPR area, here today.
In the upcoming interim election following the death of his collector Prof Dr Shaharuddin Badaruddin on 2 August of cancer, Halimey faces a direct fight against PAS candidate Dr Halimah Ali.
The former member of the Petaling Jaya City Council said he would focus on starting a counseling center in Lembah Subang's PPR area before extending it to other areas in Seri Setia.
Halimey said that if he is elected he will work with the related agencies and the government of Selangor to set up these centers.
"In addition to counseling, the center will also organize counseling training for community leaders such as members of the mosque committees, leaders of non-Muslim communities and the residents' association.
