PUTRAJAYA: The public can count on higher reimbursements for consultations by doctors in private clinics as soon as the costs for general practitioners between RM10 and RM35 are increased to between RM35 and RM125.
The increase was agreed in the Town Hall Session: stakeholder consultation on the proposed revision of the GP charges & # 39; which was held here yesterday at the Ministry of Health.
After the moderation during the session, the deputy director general of health (Medical) Datuk said. Azman Abu Bakar that the review of the indictment was due because the last time it was done was in 2006.

"The health minister will then submit the proposed review of the costs of the GP to the attorney general's rooms and, if all goes well, it will then be presented to the Cabinet for his approval," he added.
Dr. Azman has not ruled out that the new consultation costs will be implemented early next year. He said that the ministry had also held discussions with various individual groups on the issue.
