Kajang: The police detained a man to help with their investigation after a suspected "spy" who was beaten up by villagers after suspicious of peeping at one of the villagers who died in hospital today.
Kajang district police commissioner ACS Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yusoff said the man died of serious head injury.
"The suspect, an Indonesian man, was initially confronted and arrested by members of the public after he was caught by his neighbor in Kampung Orang Asli Baru, in Sungai Lalang, Semenyih on 11 August.
"After being discovered, the man tried to run away but was caught and he was then closely followed by angry villagers," he said today.
Ahmad Dzaffir said that the suspect was taken to the Kajang hospital on the same day after he had been attacked and in a coma.
