PETALING JAYA: Police issued a compound to 517 people on Saturday for failing to comply with the Movement Control Order (MCO), said Senior (Security) Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
“About 2,361 teams with 11,682 staff members conducted inspections at 3,543 supermarkets, 4,880 restaurants, 1,623 stalls, 1,293 factories, 3,377 banks and 508 government offices,” he said on Sunday (Dec. 6) in his daily Covid-19 update.
He added in his statement that eight construction sites were also inspected on Saturday (December 5) and said all were found to comply with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
On Ops Benteng, authorities arrested 47 illegal immigrants on Saturday.
The minister also assured that sufficient daily necessities were still available.
“The supply is still adequate, easy to obtain and can continuously meet the needs of the country,” he said.
